Starsiege 2845 - Now Defunct

 From the ClanCore Boards:
Let me preface this by saying this is NOT a late April fools day joke.
After much discussion with various people on the staff, and looking at potential timelines and where we currently are, Tsa and I (being the primary legal agreement contacts with VU) have made the difficult decision that it's time to put a bullet in this project and move on. This month (April) will mark 4 solid years of time and substantial monetary investment that he and I and a bunch of other people have into the project, and as we're looking at at least another years worth of development with questionable outcome, we've decided the game has reached the point of diminishing returns and it's time to say good night gracie.

old: Starsiege 2845 ATR Getting Close ?

As we all know the 2845 team has refused to set a projected release date for the upcoming 2845 ATR. But there are signs that some thing is up with a possible release of the ATR soon. At least 1 of the original big 5 squads is starting to show new signs of sudden activity in organizing their respective teams. This leads me to believe some one knows some thing. This couldn't come at a better time, with most of the community gone now it was difficult to see 17 servers today with not one person playing.

old: Starsiege 2845 Getting Torqued

Feret writes "Clancore Design LLC announced big news today. According to Trajan, the Starsiege 2845 team has come to a turning point in their development of the new MOD for Tribes Vengeance.
"In several key areas, Tribes:Vengeance has turned out to be unsuitable for the unique needs that our envisioned gametype requires. That's not to say T:V is a bad game in and of itself, just that the final product is structured in such a way as to make it unusable for our particular requirements. Believe me when I say we've tried approaching the situation from every angle, and it's just not tenable."
As a result, and through discussions with VU the Clan Core Design teams will be switching their development over to the Torque Shader Engine developed by Garage Games. I for one am very excited about this turn of events as now it looks like 2845 will not just be a MOD but a full fledged game. All this and a lot more are available for your reading pleasure at This Page"
